Almond grower Simon Goedhart, 82, of Escalon died Monday in a hospital. Mr. Goedhart was born in the Netherlands. He lived in Escalon 20 years. Mr. Goedhart was an almond grower. He was a member of Escalon Christian Reformed Church.
Mr. Goedhart was married 48 years.
Survivors: wife, Rina Goedhart of Escalon; children, Gilbert Goedhart
of Orland, Henry Goedhart and Rena de Visser, both of Escalon, Elizabeth Vierra of Modesto, Tanya Hegoas of Oakdale and Nellie Vian of Temecula; and 15 grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Escalon Christian Reformed Church, 2203 California St. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today, Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1411 San Joaquin, St. Burial: Burwood Cemetery.
